On the platform, brand-new TV programs like Echoes have found success, while others have held their ground, like the perennial Stranger Things. The top movies and TV series as of this August 2022, are listed below if you’re seeking the most recent Top 4.

List of Top 4 Movies to Stream this August 2022

Prey

Unexpectedly, this Hulu-only streaming release was the movie that rivaled Bullet Train in quality. The Predator franchise has undoubtedly seen its share of highs and lows, most recently in 2018’s The Predator, which didn’t quite wow audiences. This prequel moves the action back to the 1700s when Amber Midthunder’s Comanche warrior faces off against an early space traveler. Despite the series’ declining popularity, this appears to be a return to its roots, as viewers chose it as their favorite in almost all of our surveys.

Day Shift

Day Shift and Secret Headquarters (no.3 in the list here) were both launched on the same day. This American vampire action comedy movie is J. J. Perry’s first attempt at directing. This movie was released on August 12, 2022, by Netflix and had a star-studded ensemble, including Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Meagan Good, Steve Howey, Karla Souza, and Scott Adkins.

Secret Headquarters

In this film, a little boy discovers that his basement serves as the hidden base of operations for a superhero. Yes, his house has a superhero headquarters below it. Secret Headquarters, starring Owen Wilson, Walker Scobell, Jesse Williams from Grey’s Anatomy, Keith L. Williams, Momona Tamada, and Michael Pea, was shown on Paramount+ on August 12, 2022.

Bullet Train

An action comedy or rather a thriller comedy film. Brad Pitt and a host of other A-list actors ultimately took the crown. Based on a Japanese novel, Bullet Train stars Brad Pitt as a worn-out assassin who wants to quit his job but is given one final mission: to steal a briefcase aboard a bullet train in Japan. However, he soon learns that he isn’t the only lethal passenger on board. It’s hardly surprising to find this movie at the top because it’s undoubtedly the most well-known movie of the month, even though it wasn’t the clear favorite.
