How Theories Of Learning Helps In Teaching
Theories, principles, and models are as important to the learning system of the teachers as books are important to the students. It helps them to understand how the learning process can be applied in their daily life. It also focuses on the structure of the education system and gives an idea to improve it. All these things seek the idea in which the education system goes under a revolution. These reports, and discussions help us to analyze how we can empower students and make the betterment of them.
Even communication plays a vital part in the play. Learning something that you do not apply is a waste of time. One has to recall his/her knowledge so that he/she can apply it when it is necessary. We are going to analyze the theories, and principles through different assessments. There are a few which we will discuss in this segment:

Theories, principles, models of learning
There are different kinds of theories, models and principles which help us to understand the way of learning easily. It can be enabled when a manager takes the initiative to develop an engaging environment of learning.
Behaviorism theory
Pavlov did an experiment with his dog to give us a clear idea about behavioral theory. Every day he used to give food to his dog after the bell. You can even call it habitual action. Similarly, it can be used to teach students. The better environment a teacher can create the outcomes will be more engaging and better. In this theory, the teacher has to be the center of the process. The teacher should have the knowledge to drive the pupil’s mind into learning. There should be a detailed guideline that the students have to follow. The teacher can use different tactics in order to get the student’s attention and make them dive deeper into the process which will eventually help them grow. There are many ways to engage students like quizzes and games. You can even give rewards to the top performer. Thus there will be a healthy condition among them. The students should have the knowledge of the subject in order to get involved. This might not be the best way when a student is trying to upskill himself/herself.
Cognitivism theory
This theory depicts the fact that students should learn through the mental processing of knowledge. Piaget’s change of mental behavior (1964) talks about this kind of learning. This theory suggests that a teacher should create a strategy to engage students with the help of different kinds of tools. It can be audiovisuals, presentations,s or spider maps. Here, learners can combine their personal experience with the information a teacher provides to them to understand the process of learning. Students might not be aware of the outer world. So, the teacher’s experience can help them to differentiate what is real and reel. So that they could find a balance between them.
Declarative and procedural learning are two different ways through which a student can gather knowledge. For example, every game has some rules and regulations and you have to play according to them. If you are playing according to the rules that means you are going with declarative learning. But if you find a unique way or specifically a better way in that process, you are involving yourself in procedural learning. In this way, you can even master the game.
A study has shown in recent times if you are going through procedural learning your brain gets involved in critical thinking and creative thinking. Whereas, declarative learning hampers our memory. We often forget things easily.
Social constructivism
According to Vygotsky and Bruner learning is an active process where you have to socialize at the same time. Here, learners are actively taking part in learning. To get more engagement the teacher tries to arrange projects and debates as they are all a part of active learning. This is not a conventional way of learning but it helps the learners a lot.
Connectivism
This is one of the most recent studies that show how digital transformation has changed the way of learning. Here knowledge and technology add to each other and makes an environment where learning has no limits. Digitalization of learning has opened more opportunities to learners. The broader aspect is that now a few learners can join and make a better environment in terms of creativity and productivity. In this digital era, learners can write blogs, and deliver online classes. In this way, they are participating in active learning and making an opportunity to better themselves.
